Policy Scope and Eligibility:
Our policy covers a wide spectrum of renewable energy projects, from ground-mounted solar to wind-solar hybrids. It’s an inclusive policy, open to individuals, companies, corporations, associations, or any artificial juridical persons. Whether you want to generate power for your own use or sell it to others, our policy has you covered.
The Gujarat Advantage:
Solar Potential Unleashed
Gujarat boasts a vast solar capacity of 36 GW, and we are determined to harness this potential fully. We’re here to optimize resource utilization, provide cost-effective power, and ensure a seamless transition to clean energy.
Rooftop Solar :
Solar projects can be installed by consumers on rooftops or within premises under a net metering arrangement or under a gross metering arrangement and selling power to DISCOM, the applicable tariff will be equal to the simple average of the tariff discovered and contracted under the competitive bidding process conducted by GUVNL in the preceding 6 months, i.e., either April to September or October to March, as the case may be, plus 20 paisa /unit, which shall be applicable for signing of PPAs in the subsequent 6-month period and such tariff shall remain fixed for the 25 year term of the PPA.
Wind Energy Powerhouse
With 143 GW of wind capacity, Gujarat is a wind energy powerhouse. Our policy supports small-scale wind projects, self-consumption, and selling power to distribution companies, paving the way for a wind energy revolution.
Small scale Wind For Rooftop
Small scale Wind projects can be installed by consumers on rooftops or within premises under a net metering arrangement to offset their own consumption or under a gross metering arrangement and sell the entire generation to DISCOM, as per the applicable regulations of GERC.
Wind-Solar Hybrid Innovation
We’re at the forefront of innovation with our wind-solar hybrid projects. By combining wind and solar technologies, we’re optimizing energy production and making Gujarat a leader in sustainable energy solutions.
Renewable Energy Parks
We’re minimizing infrastructure costs and optimizing evacuation by promoting Renewable Energy Parks. These parks, with a minimum capacity of 50 MW, are in line with MNRE guidelines, ensuring efficient energy generation and distribution.
Facilitating Growth:
Our policy provides a clear roadmap for the growth of renewable energy in Gujarat. It strengthens energy security, fuels economic development, and fulfills our commitment to reducing carbon emissions while supplying clean energy to consumers both within and beyond our borders.
Transparent and Accountable:
Competitive Bidding
Our policy ensures transparency through competitive bidding, aligning with MNRE guidelines. We believe in a fair and competitive energy market, where the best solutions emerge.
Security and Timelines
We value accountability. Developers must provide security deposits, ensuring project timelines are met. Delays have consequences, and Gujarat is serious about efficient project execution.
Towards a Greener Tomorrow:
